ÉXODO
Éxodo is a suite of works that belong to the series Mutismos. Inert bodies in an indefinite and ethereal space seek to get out of silence and invisibility. Stolen lives that want to exist and stop being shadows of someone who does not see them, who does not recognize them, who does not love them.
The series Desde El Agua allowed me to meet many migrants from Africa. I was lucky enough to speak with Amina, a Moroccan girl. Most of the migrants are men, few women are able to make the journey. They wait, they don't know what or for how long. They cannot even be migrants. The only certainty is death itself.
Éxodo wants to be a tribute to them, the forgotten, the ignored, the lost. In Exodus, together, they migrate without destination.
